Abdullah Enes Kut is a senior Political Science student, Public Service Center Ambassador, and Institute of Governmental Studies Student Director at UC Berkeley. Specializing in international relations, his research examines the social, political and economic fabric of developing societies — with a focus on power structures, interstate coercion, and the case for modern state sovereignty. He puts the theory to work as a delegate for UC Berkeley Model United Nations, traveling to 2+ conferences a semester to engage with the nuances of policymaking first-hand. His work in the political arena is rounded out by a legislative internship with Congresswoman Doris Matsui and his role as secretary of Embrace Relief North California, an international non-profit serving four continents.

Nilüfer Sagat

Nilüfer Sagat is a Computer Engineering student and Regents Scholar at UC Santa Cruz, where her work sits at the intersection of technology and social impact. A ranked chess competitor and longtime math and coding Olympiad coach, she has carried that same mentor's instinct into the international arena as a three-time speaker at the UN Commission on the Status of Women, where she led a 20-person team behind a series of climate-change projects and coding initiatives for Afghan refugees. Closer to home, she founded a 120-plus member network of Turkish-immigrant technologists spanning the EU, US and Canada — building out mental-health activity clubs, community “climate schools,” and mentorship pipelines that pair industry professionals with high school and university students alike.
